My name is Mrs. Melinda Tyler. I married my high school sweetheart, Chris, almost 25 years ago.  We have five sons ages 22, 11, 9, 8 and 4. We also have three dogs named Lily, Bailey, and Ducky. And don't forget my turtle named “Queen”!  We love to spend our time, as a family, outdoors or working on rebuilding old cars/trucks.  However, whenever I am alone, I like to paint, refurbish old furniture, and watch Crime TV.

I began teaching 25 years ago. This will be my 17th year at Wetumpka Elementary.  I have spent 15 of those years in the same classroom.  I have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood/elementary education. I have a Master’s in Elementary Ed and a Masters in School Counseling, as well as an Ed.S. in Counseling.
